Can you complete this Marble Run Challenge? You can work independently or collaboratively with friends and/or family members.

Children can take a photo/ video of their marble run in action and send these in to y3@homeschool@woodthorpe-school.com. In addition, they can bring their marble run to school (if possible) week commencing 6th June.

Well done to our Year 6 class who achieved 💯% attendance during w/c 09/05/22, our Year 4 class managed to accrue ZERO lates during the same week. Our school average for attendance was 96.3%. A great effort by everyone, well done! #AttendanceMatters #WJISRR ✅📈🗓️⏰
We now have 3 classes approaching the 10K miles mark, a fantastic effort by all! 🇺🇸Look out for information next week about the @the401challenge ‘1p Challenge’ to help raise funds for @401foundation – We will be collecting passports in again this Thursday. 🛂 #WJISPESSPA
Next Friday the school will be celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee. Year 6 are being given the task of creating a film to capture the event. I thought it might be nice if we include some short films of Grandparents who have a fond memory of the Queen in her 70 years of service.
It is not an expectation that children complete this task, however for those who are keen, have the equipment to film and willing Grandparents, I thought it might be a nice addition to our school video. Films need to be no longer than a couple of minutes and only need to include the Grandparent talking about their memory. The completed film will be shown to the school and possibly put in a time capsule to be opened in 70 years time, so consent for this is required before filming.

Please could you bring in an empty shoe box or small cardboard box, on Friday this week, for a science project we have planned for year 6. It would be great to have one per child.
