Please don’t throw me away!

In Reception we are always busy creating and planning exciting projects. Please help us out by not throwing away any of these items. We would love any you may have. We just ask that you make sure items are clean and free from residue. Thank you! 

  • Bottle tops 
  • kitchen roll tubes 
  • Ribbon 
  • Interesting packaging  
  • Pipe cleaners 
  • Flowers (even ones that are past their best- old bouquets are great to use in the mud kitchen) 
  • Artificial foliage/ plants 
  • Buttons 
  • Wool/ yarn/ twine/ string 
  • Old magazines/ catalogues/ brochures 
  • Bubble wrap 
  • Wooden spoons, utensils, pots and pans 
  • Old greeting cards 
  • Tissue paper 
  • Conkers and pine cones 
  • Shells  
  • Wooden logs/ slices or branches 
  • Old phones (for role play area) 
  • Old computer keyboard and mouse 
  • Plastic glasses/ wine glasses 
  • Old bed sheets/ picnic blankets 
  • Scooters/tricycles

Guitar tuition change of day

Unfortunately, Mr Firth will no longer be teaching guitar at Woodthorpe. Although we are sad to see him leave, we now have a new guitar teacher called Mr Duff. He will be teaching in school on Tuesday morning. Therefore, can all pupils bring in their guitars THIS Tuesday (5th October).
